Pop Up!

On March 19th, Hearts and Hearts participated in the first Sunday Vintage Pop Up Market. The Sunday Vintage Pop Up will be a monthly pop up market held on the Fuel Cafe patio. There were vintage vendors, handmade sellers, and yummy brunch (and mimosas!) provided by Fuel Cafe. I had one of their breakfast quesadillas and I can tell you they are AMAAAAAAAAAZING. Here are some photos from the event.

It was a lot of fun. I met a lot of people, hung out with friends, did some networking and made some sales! All in all, a successful pop up. The next pop up is in April. Hope to see you there! I'm bringing twice the amount I brought last time including some home decor!

Hearts and Hearts

Hello! Welcome to the Hearts and Hearts blog. Hearts and Hearts blog will be a space for me to share my love of vintage and vintage inspired things, thrift finds and tips, sneak peeks of items before they hit the shop, and snippets from my life. But first, let me tell you a little bit about my shop and how it came to be.

I'm Sophia and I have thrifted and collected vintage for as long as I can remember. My mom and dad were both thrifty shoppers and I remember getting up super early on Saturdays to be the first at an estate sale. My love for thrifting vintage clothing didn't start until later. In high school, I worked in costuming for my drama department. My club's advisor took me and my costume dept. peeps to thrift stores all around Memphis to find costumes for each production. I loved everything about the process. Researching the fashions and styles from each era, sifting through piles of clothing and of course the joy of finding the perfect item. It wasn't long after that that I started wearing vintage pieces in my own life and in 2012, I started  Hearts and Hearts Vintage on Etsy to share them with you. The name has been with me for awhile. Hearts and Hearts was the name of an old art project/hobby of mine where I would leave a little love in places all around the world. I was inspired to do this after seeing a spray painted heart on some stairs in Florence, Italy.

I thought it was cute and it made me smile, so I started doing it on a smaller, less permanent scale(with an eyeliner pencil).

From a hobby to a shop, Hearts and Hearts Vintage has grown so much over the last 4 years and I can't wait to see what the future brings!
